According to Sindangan’s Municipal Engineer’s Office, it faces a great challenge in providing an adequate water supply to the entire municipality; so much so that they have yet to find new sustainable sources of water and that some barangays including Brgy. Doña Josefa may find it a challenge to get enough supply for each household. One of the water pumps in the barangay is situated just off the highway and serves around 40 to 50 households. The water pump is in use almost the entire day every day that it requires at least a 30-minute rest period to produce a gallon of water. The cycle of rest and pumping of water is very slow that the people line up their pails and wait for their turn to collect water. One family may have to fill up multiple pails at a time that sometimes your turn could run through the next day. There is no other alternative to collecting water, as of the moment this is the only system that the community applies.
