The "New Normal"

As the team welcomed the new year, it was filled with new plans and high hopes for Brgy. Dona Josefa however, the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic temporarily halted the plans being made.

The team has revised its original plans to cater to the growing needs of the community in the presence of this pandemic including the passing of information about COVID-19 and how the community may adjust to the "new normal".

Among the plans laid out by the team, they have placed great importance to those who are diagnosed to be hypertensive and malnourished as they and those with other co-morbidities are at most risk for contracting COVID-19. The team also placed importance in the possible problems with the provision of health services as it may experience significant disruption in this pandemic.

The new priority is to make sure that the people of Brgy. Dona Josefa continues on with their daily lives but making sure to have observed proper hand hygiene, wearing of masks, social distancing and in the best cases to remain home as to reduce contagion. Inclusive of the team's plans is to educate the entire community in detail about the basics of COVID-19 and how it affects the human body physiologically and with regards to the other social determinants of health as well.
